When I became a mom to 3 under 3, it was hard to find other parents in my position. Most of my friends are one and done or have two kids pretty spaced out and never even needed a double stroller.

I fell in love with The Zoe Twinᵛ². I personally purchased this stroller after tons of research on best travel strollers for two kids. We needed it for our first big trip with two kids to Hawaii. At the time, we had two kids at that time, aged 7 months at 18 months.
It was the only realistic double stroller for travel I could find after tons of research. I ordered it, fell in love with it, and not only used it for all of our trips but also for our daily use.

It Grows With Your Family
As I mentioned, you can start with the The Zoe Twinᵛ² as a double and simply add the Trio seat when your third baby arrives. It is probably the most versatile stroller for families with multiple little kids.
You can add an infant car seat adapter to easily clip in your infant seat.
Each seating area has a 60 pound weight limit so your kids won’t grow out of it for a long time.
Once one of your kids starts walking more consistently, you can remove the third seat and go back to double mode. It’s a “grow-as-you-go” stroller that adapts to each stage.
Essentially, it’s a travel stroller with the convenience + similar benefits as a full-size stroller.
It’s Lighter Than Most Triple Strollers
Just using it as a double, the stroller is extremely light. Adding the third seat definitely adds some weight but even with three stroller seats, the Zoe setup is much lighter than a traditional triple stroller. Each child gets a full-size seat, not a little jump seat or board. The canopies offer good coverage, and the recline is great for naps on the go. All three kids can ride comfortably, which keeps everyone happier longer.
Easy to Convert/Ease of Use
This is the only stroller I know of that can transition back and forth from a double to a triple as you need it to. Not only is it easy to add the third seat on, but if you prefer to babywear or if one of the older kids wants to walk, you can just as easily leave the third seat behind in your car to make it a double stroller to accommodate that.

Things to Consider Before Buying
I have yet to find the absolute perfect stroller with no downsides. While I love this setup and haven’t found anything that comes close to being as good of a fit for our family, there are some trade-offs to keep in mind.
It Gets Heavy When Fully Loaded
Even though it’s lighter weight compared to most options, three kids plus your gear does add up. I don’t notice it much when walking on a flat surface (like a flat sidewalk or inside a store) but it can get heavy over longer outings, long distances, or walking uphill.
The Add On Seat
I love that the add on seat is easy to attach and detach when needed, but in order to fold up the stroller you do need to detach it. It’s an extra step in loading up the car when there’s already so much to do with 3 little kids. When I’m just using the double, it’s a quick fold but the third seat option takes a little more time.
It Takes Up A Lot of Space
I don’t think there’s a single option for holding three kids that won’t have this problem, but it does take up quite a bit of space.
Turning Takes Some Getting Used To
We went through a lot of double strollers before I bought the The Zoe Twinᵛ² and I quickly learned I prefer side by side double strollers. The front/back double strollers are hard to turn and it also seemed like people in airports were constantly running into our stroller – literally.
This is also somewhat of a problem with the triple stroller. With 3 kids, the turning radius increases. It’s not a big deal and I actually think it’s less of a problem than it was with our original front/back double stroller, but you’ll notice it in tight spaces or crowded areas.
I don’t think there is a single setup that could hold 3 kids that wouldn’t have this problem in some way.
Snack Tray
When you attach the third seat, it clips in where the snack tray normally goes. You can always buy another product that clips on, but it’s not as convenient. And if your kids are anything like mine, they really like having their snacks and water bottles.
Keep an Eye on Wear and Tear
Any stroller that carries three kids regularly is going to take some abuse. Check the wheels, straps, and joints from time to time to make sure everything stays in good shape.
Overhead Bin
This is probably not surprising, but it does not fit in the overhead bin. I know you can find options for a single stroller that will fold up small enough to fit, but I haven’t found a double that does (much less a triple).
Wheels
I don’t love the wheel suspension on the standard wheels that come with the stroller but you can upgrade to better/all-terrain wheels. If you’re exploring places with lots of cobblestone roads, it’s not going to be a super smooth ride.

Tips From a Mom Using it on a Daily Basis
- Practice folding and unfolding it at home before your first outing. It makes life much easier when you’re juggling kids in a parking lot.
- Distribute weight evenly. Keep your heaviest child in the middle or back for the best balance.
- Pack light. Avoid overloading the stroller with extra bags — it’ll push and steer better.
- Rotate who rides in the third seat. If one child likes to walk part of the time, let them trade spots to keep things fun.
- Stick to smooth surfaces when you can. You’ll notice a big difference in how easy it is to push.
- Storage space. There is plenty of space in the large storage basket on the bottom but make sure you’re not overloading it. If you are going to be getting on and off trolleys/buses (such as staying on a Disney property and taking the shuttle, for example), then my favorite hack is to keep one of those reusable shopping bags on you. Then when it’s time to fold up the stroller to get on the trolley, you can throw everything in the stroller into the bag to be able to fold it up quickly!
