Babymoon Wardrobe Essentials
Comfortable, casual dresses for more laid-back days
Swimsuits – Bring a couple of comfy swimsuits that accommodate your growing baby bump so you can rotate between beach days and poolside lounging.
A Wide-Brimmed Hat is great for extra sun protection
These Comfortable Shoes are also cute. Comfortable footwear is important if you have a long walk from your accommodations to the beach or pool or if you plan on going for longer walks. You might want to pack some tennis shoes, too, depending on how much walking you think you’ll be doing.
Maternity Shorts or Skirts – For casual daytime exploring, you might want a few pairs of stretchy shorts or a soft skirt that pairs easily with tanks or tees.
Tank Tops & Breezy Tops – Loose-fitting tops or maternity tanks will help you stay cool and look cute. Aim for materials like bamboo, cotton, or any breathable clothing.
Evening Outfit – If you plan on a fancier dinner out or more formal events, consider packing bump-friendly maxi dresses or a maternity jumpsuit
A comfortable set for traveling or if you’re planning on having some downtime. This will help you stay as comfortable as possible
Compression Socks –I know they aren’t sexy, but they are great for blood circulation and swelling. It’s a good idea to grab a pair, especially for long flights or car rides.

Medication, Toiletries & Self-Care
Reef-Safe Sunscreen (Pregnancy-Safe)
Makeup
Bug Spray – I find that most resorts spray for mosquitos so I generally I don’t have a problem there, but I like to bring bug spray just in case.
Stretch Mark Cream or Belly Oil – I love the Bio-Oil stretch mark cream/lotion because it really helps me feel hydrated. It’s also supposed to help with stretch marks on your growing bump. I will leave this out if I’m running tight on space, though.
Prenatals & Medications – Don’t forget your daily vitamins and any approved medications or supplements you’re taking during pregnancy.
SPF Lip Balm – The sun and saltwater can dry you out. Pack a good lip balm with SPF.
Ginger chews for nausea – Hopefully you’re not having morning sickness on your babymoon, but if you are I really like these ginger chews.
Travel Day Essentials
Refillable Water Bottle – Hydration is key, especially when pregnant in hot climates (I used to get horrible Charlie horses if I wasn’t very hydrated). A reusable water bottle will help you stay hydrated on your flight or car ride and throughout your trip.
Snacks
Headphones
A good book is my favorite for pool days

Other Must-Haves
Copies of Important Documents – You’ll want to pack your health insurance cards, and a note from your OB if traveling later in pregnancy—just in case.
Pregnancy Wedge Pillow – This pillow isn’t huge, so you can pack it. It isn’t overly practical to bring, but if you’re at the stage of pregnancy where it makes a huge difference, you might want to consider making room.
A beach bag makes it easy to carry all of your stuff back and forth from the pool to the beach
A wet dry bag is great for keeping your wet items separate from things you want to keep dry. It can also hold things you don’t want to get wet, like your keys and cellphone.
This belly band was a lifesaver throughout my pregnancy, especially when I was doing a lot of walking
Shop My Babymoon Favorites
I’ve gathered all my favorite tropical babymoon essentials in this Amazon list if you’re more of a visual person with all of the items I listed.
A tropical destination really is the perfect place for a babymoon but no matter your babymoon destination, I hope you find time to relax and enjoy yourself.
Now go soak up that sun, enjoy some mocktails, and get some quality time with your partner. You’ll be glad you took this moment to slow down and celebrate before baby’s big arrival.
