TradeWinds

The TradeWind Island Resorts is basically a huge resort with two different accommodation options, RumFish Beach and Island Grand. The resort is on 40 acres and is beachfront.

RumFish is more “upscale” than the Island Grand. It also has with an adults only pool area. But the entire resort grounds are perfect for your family vacation with tons to do.

When I tell you that this resort is huge, I mean it. On their 40 acres are 733 rooms, multiple bars and dining options, a touch tank, 7 pools, over 500 cabanas, a 3 story waterslide, and more.

They also have a lot of activities like live music, s’mores, movies at the pool, fitness classes, pickleball, shuffleboard, beach volleyball, and more.

Plaza Beach Hotel

The Plaza Beach Hotel has been in St Pete Beach since 1988. It’s a small boutique resort with only 39 rooms right on a private beach.

The rooms come with kitchenettes. The beach has hammocks, beach chairs, and beach volleyball. The resort also has a pool and on site beach bar. There are also cabanas available for an additional charge.

Free parking is included, which isn’t something that’s easy to find at beach resorts.

The Hotel Zamora

The Hotel Zamora is on the bay, across the street from the beach (the beach is in easy walking distance) It’s considered more upscale and elegant, great for a girls getaway or couples. There is a pool, hot tub, a pool bar, and on site upscale food options. They have a rooftop bar and also provide complimentary kayaks and bikes.

Postcard Inn on the Beach

Note that the Postcard Inn is temporarily closed due to Hurricanes Helene and Milton.

The Postcard Inn has a very popular beach bar that’s one of the best places to grab a drink. It is infamous for a good time and good parties. The hotel is currently closed due to back-to-back hurricanes but will hopefully be opening up later this year.

The hotel gives retro-chic vibes, has a heated outdoor pool, on-site bar (yep, I am mentioning it again), and often has live music. It’s right on the beach as well. The Postcard Inn is great for groups of friends!

It’s also in a convenient location if you want to beach bar hop!

Don CeSar

The Don CeSar recently reopened after back-to-back hurricanes required almost 6 months of renovations. The Don CeSar is an iconic hotel that opened in 1928 and one of the most popular hotels in the area. You’ve probably seen pictures of it – it looks like a pink castle!

The Don CeSar is an elegant beachfront resort with modern amenities. There is a full-service spa, upscale dining, two pools, a fitness center, and multiple bars (including one at the pool, of course).

The Don CeSar is great for a romantic getaway, but it’s kid friendly, too.

Bellwether Beach Resort

Note that the Bellwether Beach Resort and its bars/restaurants are temporarily closed due to Hurricanes Helene and Milton but hopes to reopen later this year.

It’s also famous for its rooftop bar, Level 11. Level 11 is an outdoor rooftop lounge with great cocktails and small plates. It also offers expansive views of the beautiful beach – some of the best views you can get in St Pete Beach! Spinners is the resort’s fine dining restaurant, which spins a full 360 degrees while you eat.

The guest rooms have private balconies in each room, either with an ocean view or a view of the bay. It also has a good location with easy access to various bars, restaurants, and shops.

Hilton Garden Inn St Pete Beach

Whenever there is a large chain, I do like to include it because they can be great for people who might have loyalty with a certain hotel brand. Others love knowing what to expect from bigger brands. So if you’re a Hilton fan, you’ll be happy to know that there’s a Hilton on the beach in St Pete Beach!

There are pet friendly rooms. Coconut Charlie’s is a popular local bar and restaurant, which is located at this hotel.

Overall, you can’t go wrong staying here. It’s nothing out of the ordinary, but it’s clean, has a good location, a popular on site bar and restaurant, and best of all, it’s beachfront!

Beachcomber Beach Resort and Hotel

The Beachcomber is another resort that is currently closed due to renovations after back-to-back hurricanes. We hope they are able to reopen soon!

The Beachcomber has been a staple in St Pete Beach for a long time. Their rooms are a bit more affordable than some of the other options. They have a relaxed, old-Florida vibe, a tropical courtyard, and direct beach access.

There is a resort fee (like many resorts in popular spots) that includes a beach cabana or 2 lounge chairs with an umbrella, parking, and two heated pools.

But they are most famous for Jimmy B’s Beach Bar (also one of our absolute favorites!) Jimmy B’s has amazing live music and great drinks to match. It’s a popular spot, especially on the weekends. You couldn’t ask for a better beach bar to truly feel like you’re on vacation.

Final Thoughts

No matter what type of vacation you’re planning, St. Pete Beach has accommodations to suit your needs. Best of all, all of the hotels I listed are either right on the beach or just a short walk away. The white sands, Florida sun, the incredible sunset views, and the coastal vibe is right at your fingertip.

Whether you’re seeking the luxurious experience of The Don CeSar, a family-friendly stay at TradeWinds, or the retro vibes of Postcard Inn, you’ll find the perfect place to have the best beach vacation!
